In the End

In the End

by Angela P
(Worthington, Ohio)

I hear the shatter as my heart breaks,
I only feel the pain it makes.

I find myself crying,
inside slowly dying.

Your words slowly repeating in my head,
"I never heard a word you said."

I find myself crying,
inside slowly dying.

All the words I want to say,
never seem to make their way.

I find myself crying,
inside slowly dying.

I finally start thinking,
that there is no more meaning.

I find myself crying,
inside slowly dying.

I decide to just walk away,
ignoring what they may say.

I'm no longer crying,
no longer dying.
